Terms of service

These terms govern your use of the Marque application and website (together, "Marque"). Marque is operated by Corto BV, a private limited company registered in Belgium under VAT number BE 0899.354.207 ("we", "us", "Corto"). By creating an account or using Marque you agree to these terms.

The service

Marque is a private record-keeping and advisory tool for car collectors. The advisor is an AI assistant that gives informational opinions about your collection. Nothing in Marque is a regulated financial product, an insurance contract, or a binding professional opinion.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Marque has no way to recover a compromised account other than the standard password reset flow tied to your email address.

Your data, your collection

Everything you enter into Marque — vehicles, documents, photos, messages — remains yours. We make no claim to it, do not license it, and do not analyse it for any purpose other than running the service for you. You can export or delete it at any time.

Acceptable use

Do not upload material you do not have the right to upload.
Do not use Marque to misrepresent vehicle history, evade tax obligations, or facilitate fraud.
Do not attempt to extract other users' data, abuse the AI advisor in ways that incur disproportionate cost, or interfere with the service.

Valuations and advice

Valuations and recommendations the advisor provides are estimates based on Anthropic's training data and the specifics you share. They are not appraisals, are not insured values, and should not be the sole basis for buying, selling, or insuring a vehicle. Treat them the way you would a knowledgeable friend's opinion: useful, not binding.

Service availability

We aim for continuous availability but make no uptime guarantees during the closed-test phase. We may pause the service, change its features, or end it with reasonable notice.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Corto BV is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Marque, including any loss based on a valuation, market opinion, or document interpretation produced by the AI advisor. The total aggregate liability of Corto BV to any user shall not exceed the amount that user has paid to use the service in the prior twelve months (or, where the service was free, EUR 100).

Termination

You can delete your account at any time from inside the app. We may close an account that violates these terms after a single warning, except in cases of clear and serious abuse where we may close it immediately.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Belgium. Disputes will be resolved by the courts of Belgium, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have in your country of residence.
